Programme Aims
Designed for supervisory or first line managers and offers practical knowledge, skills and behaviours from team leading through to project management to give you the tools you need to start your management journey.
Team leaders will need to achieve the knowledge, skills and behaviours by achieving 13 set duties. Each workshop or themed online resource will be based on the 13 duties and learners will need to collect evidence to complete a portfolio.
Eligibility Criteria
- Level 2 English and maths (although learners can complete maths and English Functional Skills alongside their studies)
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this course, you will have the knowledge and understanding of how to:
- Manage individuals, teams, or elements of a project,
- Offer direction, instructions, and guidance to achieve goals.
- Contribute to the training an ongoing development needs of the individual or the team.
- Collate and interprets data and share outputs with stakeholders to support decision making.
- Contribute to projects, initiatives, and their implementation to achieve organisational goals.
- Identify, assess, and monitor potential risks and support the mitigation of risk within the organisation.
- Lead and manage the team to ensure the application of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles.
- Communicate information to drive operational activities and improve organisational performance.
Assessment Method
EPA assessment methods are:
- Presentation with questions
- Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence.
