Restart Scheme Blue, a programme designed by Serco to bridge the skills gap and assist those with Level 5 qualifications and above in finding fulfilling work opportunities.
The Impact
The Restart Scheme Blue pilot started in June 2023 with 319 participants. Following the success of the pilot, Restart Scheme Blue was expanded and officially launched in April 2024 to all Serco delivery partners in West Central and Wales.
The programme now employs six mentors. The innovative approach of Restart Scheme Blue has succeeded in helping 960 people of which, 491* have found work, with that figure expected to rise with many more individuals currently on the tailored scheme. Serco and our delivery partners are currently the only Restart Scheme provider to offer this tailored support to these individuals.
